Halloween

This year we spent Halloween in Washington...and we barely made it! We moved up to Washington that weekend...we packed our truck up on Saturday Oct. 29th and on Sunday Oct. 30th we left Utah around 8:00 in the morning. Traveling with a 26 foot moving truck and a 4 year old with a bladder the size of a very small pea made for one long trip! We pulled into my parents house around 12:00 am! The next morning we unloaded the truck into a storage unit and headed up to my brothers house for my nephews birthday party and then trick or treating.

Branson was Optimus Prime and Branson was a cute little Dragon. The boys had a lot of fun trick or treating! The older kids were running from house to house and leaving the little kids in their dust so after a while we had to split up. Brecken, Nevaeh and Porter had a good scam going for getting more candy...while one baby was being handed candy the other two were helping themselves to the bucket of candy from the homeowner...this happened at multiple homes...it was pretty funny!

Branson is obsessed with the Halloween stores...he loved to go into the stores and look at all the scary halloween decorations.... so when we walked up to one of my brothers neighbors houses and saw that he turned his driveway into a haunted house Branson was beyond excited! Branson went through the haunted house twice and if he could he would have gone a couple more times...he LOVED it! My nephew on the other hand (who just turned 7) went through it once with his eyes closed!
We had a lot of fun and we were happy to be able to spend Colton's birthday with him!

Best Buddies

Branson wanted me to post these pictures of him and his best buddies, Ian and Jacob Gisle. He was asking if he could go over to their house today and jump on their trampoline....too bad we live too far away now :(

It's only been a week but we sure do miss our friends!

Pumpkin Patch part 2

After we left Estrada Farms we headed to the best pumpkin patch in Riverton. This year the pumpkin patch was bigger and better then the previous years. They have tractors you can sit on and get your pictures taken, they had two corn mazes (one was free which we love), hay rides, wheelbarrows in every size and tons of pumpkins!

Everyone was excited to pick out their pumpkins except Branson. All he could think about was getting a little wheelbarrow to push around. He was so obsessed with getting a wheelbarrow that he followed the kids that had one in hopes that they would put it down. We kept trying to get him to join us in picking out pumpkins but he would have non of it until he got a wheelbarrow. In the first picture below you can see him pointing to a boy in the background with a wheelbarrow he wanted. Once he got one he was a happy camper and was ready to join in the fun!

Brecken had so much fun picking out pumpkins! He was picking out the biggest pumpkins and then trying to pick them up. They were as big as him! He's so darn Cute!

After we picked out our pumpkins Bryan and Autumn went and paid for them and the kids and I went and got in line for the hay ride. They didn't have hay rides last year so Branson was super excited about it and luckly we didn't have to wait long. Brecken had a good time until I tried to get a picture of him with Carlee and Alyssa...he was not happy about that!

Finally we made it to the corn maze...the older kids ran through it pretty quickly but little Brecken was taking his time. He was enjoying looking at all the corn and orange tape plus the ground was a little uneven so it was harder for him to walk without falling over. Branson ran through it so fast I think he past us two or three times!

We all had a great time and we're glad we were able to spend some time with our cousins :)

Pumpkin Patch part 1

We took the boys to two pumpkin patches and had a great time with our cousins. The first one we went to was at Estrada Farms. They advertised that they had a bounce house, train ride, hay maze, corn box and a pumpkin patch. What they forgot to add was that they were very small! Small bounce house, small hay maze and a VERY small pumpkin patch. I'm glad we found half off coupons on CityDeals.com otherwise I would have been pretty mad that I paid full price. The kids had a blast so that's all that really matters. The kids spent very little time in the bounce house which surprised me because that's usually Bransons favorite thing. The hay maze was a big hit with the little kids. Even thought it was small those little guys still got turned around and couldn't find the exit. It was pretty fun to watch.

The train ride was also a lot of fun for the kids. I'm not sure why they called it a train ride because it was a guy on a four wheeler pulling six carts through a bumpy garden. The kids LOVED it.....I thought it would be fun to take Brecken and boy did I regret it! There's something about a bony bottom, a wooden seat and LOTS of bumps that made this "train" ride not so enjoyable!

Next up was the corn box. It's basically a big sandbox but instead of sand it was filled with corn. We were told the kids could dig for buried treasures but it was pretty picked through and the kids didn't find much. They still had a ton of fun burying each other and filling buckets full of corn. It took Brecken awhile to get into the corn but once he got use to it he didn't want to leave!

Brecken had a hard time getting out of the corn. Everytime he moved he kept sinking more and more into the corn..it was pretty funny to watch! Once he got out he found a broom and decided to help clean up the mess.....he's such a big helper!

Once we were done at Estrada Farms we decided to go to our favorite pumpkin patch out in Riverton, UT which happens to be right down the street from our cousins house. We have been going there every year since Branson was a baby. We love the variety of pumpkins, free corn maze, little wheelbarrows and the old tractors that we can take pictures on. This year it was bigger and better then ever! Pumpkin Patch part 2 will have all the details plus a lot more picture!
